Center Parcs Scoops Green Business Award for Biodiversity
We are delighted to announce Center Parcs has picked up the Green Business Award for Biodiversity Protection. The award was presented at a ceremony at the Grosvenor Hotel in London on Tuesday 3rd November.
The Green Business Awards 2009 or "Green Globes", celebrate the most innovative, ambitious and effective initiatives by UK businesses for achieving environmental sustainability, and implementing smart business practice.
The Biodiversity Protection category measured company leadership in safeguarding and enhancing habitats and species with reference to the managing, monitoring and executing of biodiversity protection across all sites.
Mark Waller, Chartered Landscape Architect accepted the award saying:
“It was a very proud moment to accept the trophy on behalf of the Conservation Rangers and Ground Services teams who are totally committed to biodiversity management at Center Parcs. Protecting the natural forest environment has always been a fundamental part of our philosophy. For over twenty years we have carefully monitored all the species on our sites and will continue to protect and enhance the biodiversity of our forest for many years to come”.
